Noticing Stillness

Stillness is rarely found by searching. It is noticed in the moments between doing, thinking, and becoming. A pause before the next breath. The silence beneath a bird's song. The space that remains when the mind briefly lets go of its endless commentary.

We often imagine stillness as something distant, waiting at the end of a long journey. Yet it has never been absent. It quietly accompanies every experience, asking for nothing and expecting nothing.

Perhaps stillness isn't something we create.

Perhaps it is what gently reveals itself when, for just a moment, we stop looking elsewhere.
